Ukraine continues to hinder the Minsk process in various ways, Russia’s representative to the Contact Group on resolving the situation in eastern Ukraine Boris Gryzlov said following the Group’s meeting in the Belarusian capital of Minsk.
"On the whole, there is a number of issues concerning the Minsk process," he said. "Kiev is still unwilling to take steps aimed at finding a political solution to the conflict. There is a need to ensure the implementation of the Steinmeier formula, which stipulates that the law on the special status of Donbass should become permanent," the Russian envoy added.
Besides, in Gryzlov’s words, Ukraine has not yet published orders concerning the ceasefire and measures to be taken against its violators. At the same time, the Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics published such documents a long time ago.
"Ukraine is fully responsible for the difficult social and economic situation in Donbass, as it maintains the economic and transport blockade of the region," the Russian envoy stressed.
