A memorial plaque of Elizaveta Glinka, better known as Dr Lisa, a solemn ceremony opened today in Gorlovka which is located on the frontlines ~ It was also the anniversary of the death of a human rights activist in a plane crash according to the head of the city administration, Ivan Prikhodko.

"Today a memorial plaque in memory of Doctor Liza, tragically killed a year ago, was opened on the territory of the city hospital No. 2," Prikhodko noted.
He said that several hundred people gathered to honor the memory of Glinka, including the Minister of Health of the DPR, O.Oprishchenko, deputies of the People's Council, employees of the Gorlovka mayor's office, land local residents.
Dr. Lisa during the conflict in the Donbass repeatedly provided humanitarian support to the residents of the Republics, was engaged in sending children for treatment to the Russian Federation. During the war, she sent almost 500 seriously ill children from the People's Republic of Donetsk and the People's Republic of Lugansk to the Russian Federation. Her life was tragically cut short on December 25, 2016 during the crash of a Tu-154 plane bound for Syria, which crashed in the vicinity of Sochi.
