The Ukrainian Defence Ministry appointed a US protégé head of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation (ATO) ,” LPR People’s Army spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Andrey Marochko told a news briefing at Lugansk Media Centre on Thursday.
Nazi Ukrainian defence appoints US protégé head of “antiterrorist operation” - His appointment won't improve the Contact Line situation because Mikhail Zabrodskiy, as 95th Brigade commander, ordered to carry out strikes at neighbourhoods and fanned the large armed conflict in Donbass by using the knowledge and skills acquired during the training in the USA,” the LPR People’s Army spokesman said. “He was awarded the Hero of Ukraine title for the murder of Slavyansk civilians and other war crimes against the population.”
Ukrainian Defence Ministry spokesman Andrey Lysenko said earlier in the day that commander of Highly Mobile Airborne Forces, former 95th Separate Airmobile Brigade commander Lt-Gen Mikhail Zabrodskiy had been appointed head of the “anti-terrorist operation (ATO).”
The Ministry said the appointment was part of “scheduled rotation.” Zabrodskiy, who is replacing First Deputy Land Troops Commander Lt-Gen Alexander Lokota, assigned objectives to ATO forces that blocked Slavyansk and Kramatorsk in 2014; on 23 August 2014, he was awarded the title of Hero of Ukraine.
“It is another evidence that the USA fully controls the Ukrainian army and appoints its protégés to senior posts; in 2005-2006 Zabrodskiy had training at the United States Army Command and General Staff College,” Marochko said.
