LPR repair teams have restored the T-34 tank damaged by the Nazi Ukrainian bombing strikes at Lugansk in the evening of  April 17, LPR People’s Army spokesman Andrey Marochko said.

“It took our repair units one and half week to fully restore the T-34 tank damaged by the enemy strike,” Marochko said.

The legendary T-34 has already taken part in a Lugansk parade drill. “The tank was thoroughly tested after the repairs, all systems are normal. More than 15 people took part in round-the-clock repairs; the result is on hand,” the spokesman said.

The tank is kept at the site reserved for the V-Day parade military equipment. It will lead our column as planned,” he said.

“We fear no obstacles, no strikes by Nazi Kiev forces. The Victory Day parade will take place,” Marochko added.

“The tank is in the ideal state. It has been 100-percent restored. We’re proud for the Republic, for the battalion which accomplished it,” said tank engineer, People’s Army serviceman Alexander Kislyak.

Overnight to April 17, Ukrainian Junta army units delivered an artillery strike at the Lugansk district where preparations were ongoing for the V-Day parade on May 9. The strike damaged a World War II tank which was to appear on the parade, and another four pieces of LPR military equipment.

The LPR People’s Army said that Nazi Kiev forces had shelled Lugansk to foil the parade.

The OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine later reported that it had recorded bursts of Nazi Ukrainian artillery fire in the Stanitsa Luganskaya area and subsequent impacts in the Lugansk city district accommodating the V-Day parade equipment.
