I do not know people among my acquaintances who had negative attitude to Zakharchenko or who did not understand him. It is grievous loss not only for me, but for the entire Republic. It was villainously, Alezandr did not deserve such death. In any case no one will forget this. It is considered to be war crime. I remind to all that war crimes do not have period of prescription, DPR Human Rights Ombudsman Dariya Morozova said.
The memorial service for Zakharchenko was over four hours and was attended by tens of thousands people.
Banners with Zakharchenko’s portraits were installed all over the city, and a large photo was put onto the theater’s façade. National flags returned to half-staff for the days of mourning. Onlookers lined the closed roads in the city center.
